On Tuesday, July 7 around 20 people of all ages gathered at the Abbeville City Gym for Abbeville’s 1st Annual Halo Tournament. Halo is a multiplayer strategy game that is played on Microsoft’s XBox 360 gaming platform. There was a 2 on 2, double elimination format, where teams could make a comeback, even from the loser’s bracket.
Overall, the tournament was a lot of fun with Troy University students, Tim Mathis and Chase Daniels, taking home the victory and cash prize.
Ryan Johnson, an Abbeville Recreation Board member and co-coordinator for the tournament said, “It was a great time for everyone who came. We had Troy students, a family from Ft. Gaines, and a lot of local teenagers come to play.”
