Generals JV Team Gets Win Against Rival Lakeside

The Abbeville Christian Academy junior varsity Generals suited up Monday night to play their big rival from right up the road, The Lakeside School Chiefs.

The Generals received the ball to open the game. Right from the start of the game it appeared that the Generals were ready to play as they took the opening drive down the field for a touchdown. After the kick the Generals defense held the Chiefs to a punt and once again the Generals drove down and scored. The Generals continued to dominate and took a 32-0 lead at the half.

When play resumed the Generals picked right up where they left off and continued to dominate the Chiefs on both sides of the ball. The Generals continued to score and left with a 46-0 win.

On the night the Generals compiled 492 yards rushing and had 500 total yards. The offense was led by Sterling Armstrong who had 7 rushes for 206 yards and 4 touchdowns. Justin Walker had 205 yards rushing on 13 carries and a touchdown. Travis Johnson had 8 rushes for 74 yards and scored a touchdown; he also scored on four 2-point conversions and kicked an extra point. Blaine Sellers also kicked an extra point.
